Sarkanda Reeds (Varius Sizes)
 
Sarkanda Reeds are a brilliant material for float making and can be used as a regular Reed Waggler, or shaped into bodies to create bodied Wagglers, they can even be turned into Stick Floats.
 
The sizes available are as follows :
 
2-4mm (25 pcs)
4-5mm (25 pcs)
5-8mm (22 pcs)
8mm+ (22 pcs)
 
The reeds have an outer membrane that must be removed (you need to do this by sanding the reed down before working with it), if you dont sand the reed down, it will splinter and become unusable. Once the outer membrane has been removed, the reeds are very easy to work with and can be shaped relatively easily into your desired float.
 
The Reeds are easily centre and just need to be hollowed out with either a thin bamboo skewer, you do this by carefully twist the skewer through the reed, or by using a small, handheld drill, if you require straight wagglers but find that the centre hole is visible, simply cover the hole with a sanding sealer or lacquer until the hole is covered up completely.
 
All of my Reeds are imported from Asia and I will be updating stock each January so hurry, as once sold out, they will remain sold out until the following January unless stated otherwise.
 
Each Reed is approximately 30cm in length and are sold as a pack of 25 Reeds or 22 Reeds, depending on the diameter.
 
The reason my postage costs are more than other sellers is simply because all of my Reeds securely packed inside a solid tube (as are my float orders) to avoid any possible damage, rather than inside a packaging envelope, which can damage the reeds upon delivery. The reeds are also packed in Bubblewrap and are despatched within 48 hours of the order being placed.
 
Each Reed is individually checked for damage upon packing, however, in the case that I may miss a damaged Reed, the price I charge is for 20 Reeds (smaller diameter) and 17 Reeds (thicker diameter) respectively, meaning that you will receive 5 extra Reeds, free of charge.

I do have extra fine Reeds available but please be aware that my Reeds with a diameter of 1-2mm are extremely fragile due to how fine they are, with the majority of these Reeds having marks and bends in them, this is unavoidable due to how fine the diameters are but these Reeds are only suitable to use as inserts in your insert wagglers, meaning the slight damage doesn't really matter as they will be cut to small lengths anyways but keep this in mind if you are requesting these extra fine diameters.
