DJL Floats

I am a self taught craftsman that has been creating and selling handmade fishing floats since 2019.

I began creating fishing floats at a very young age as a hobby, this was done by simply inserting toothpicks into Peacock Quills, which were then painted and used once dry, this was a technique that I learnt from my Dad, and although the floats wouldn't win any beauty prizes, these did actually work and years later, this would be my inspiration for creating my handmade products.

After years of working in factorys and warehouses, at the age of 34, I decided to take a gamble and focus on creating and selling my handmade products and after hours upon hours of mastering the art, over the past few years my products have gone from strength to strength, I now sell all over the world and the feedback from my work has been amazing, something that I am greatly appreciative about.

My partner Jenna and my little girl, Lillie (from the age of 2, has been collecting feathers for me), have both played an enormous part in helping me build up my brand, without Jenna and the support that she has shown me, not to mention the amazing job she does at packing each order, I would not be doing this today.

​
